WHO WE ARE
The Grand Prairie Cemetery Association was formed and incorporated in 1881 by community members who felt a larger and more formal cemetery was needed in outer Marion County. Public meetings were held at the Grand Prairie school house, to elect officers and trustees and eventually to buy
6 1/4 acres of land that became the
Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Located seven miles north of Marion, Ohio on State Route 423 at Brush Ridge, the Grand Prairie Cemetery has grown in the years since 1881, into an enriched and beautiful resting place for the loved ones of Marion's families.
